This includes, but is not limited to, the Acceptable Use policy regarding products and services sold on this website.
At Clearlight Security, we are fully committed to protecting your privacy and security. We only use the information you provide to process and fulfill your order. We will never rent, sell, distribute, your personal information to anyone, unless complled by a court order or law enforcement agency.
Acceptable Use and Disclaimer
It is the SOLE responsibility of the Buyer to investigate, research, conform to, adhere to all applicable state, local, and federal laws and ordinances relating to the purchase and use of products on this website. By purchasing products or services from Clearlight Security through either this website or any of our related e-commerce channels (eBay, Amazon, et al), Buyer agrees they will not use products or services to break any law, or to infringe upon the rights of any person, individual, or entity.Buyer further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Clearlight Security, parent company Clearlight Electronics, it's officers, employees, representatives, owners, suppliers, and manufacturers from any claim, action, liability or suit, arising from the purchase or use of products purchased from this website.
We accept multiple payment methods, in order to provide our customers with different options for payment. Our standard payment method is by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover), and is processed via our 100% secure online payment processor. We also accept Paypal, and Google Checkout. Unless otherwise agreed to in advance, all orders must be paid for at time of order submission.
For government and educational institutions, we offer the ability to purchase our products via purchase order. To submit a purchase order, email it to firstname.lastname@example.org, fax it to us at 1-800-380-5848, or call us to submit your order over the phone.
We ship out packages Monday-Friday via various shipping providers, including FedEx, UPS, and USPS. Ground shipments will usually arrive 1-4 business days after they have been shipped, depending on your location. We also offer expedited shipping options including 2-Day deliver, and Overnight/Next Day delivery for additional cost (see below for current rates).
Most orders for in stock items received by 12PM EST will ship out the same day. In some cases, it may take up to 48-72 hours for your order to ship. If we are unable to ship your order within 72 hours, we will notify you with the expected ship date. If this expected ship date is not agreeable, Buyer may cancel order without penalty, and receive a full refund for purchase price.

Some items are custom order items that may require 2-4 days of additional building and/or processing time, which will noted on the item's product page. For custom orders, once the order has been placed, any order cancellation prior to shipment will incur a 5% cancellation fee.
FedEx and UPS deliver Monday through Friday. Saturday delivery can be arranged for an additional cost. Orders placed on weekends and holidays will be processed on the next business day.
Please note that shipping times refer to the actual shipping time in transit once the package has left our warehouse, and do not include order processing times.
In very rare instances, some orders may too large to quality for expedited flat-rate shipping services (2nd Day and Overnight/Next Day Shipping). In the event your order does not quality for the flat rate expedited services, we will contact you to provide you with a real-time quote for the oversized order. If you do not wish to proceed with the quoted shipping cost, we can ship your order with Standard Ground Shipping, or make any other adjustments to your order as needed.
Signature Required Service
All orders over $100 are shipped with a signature required for delivery. This means someone will have be home at your address to physically sign and receive your package. Once the driver has attempted delivery once, you may sign a waiver to allow the driver to leave the package, or pick it up at a local sort facility.
All of our packages are shipped in plain brown or white packages with no indications of the contents inside the package. The return shipping name will be "Clearlight Electronics", with no external packing slip or disclosure of contents.
In order to prevent and combat potential fraud, we can only ship to your CONFIRMED billing address on file with your credit card company. If you wish to ship to an address other than the confirmed address on file, you must contact your credit card company to add an alternate address on file. This is an easy process - just call the number on the back of your credit card, and ask for an alternate address to be added.
For Paypal payments, your address must be confirmed via the Paypal address confirmation system, or your order may be cancelled, at our discretion. This is to protect both you and our company against unauthorized transactions.
Post Office Box Shipments
If your confirmed billing address (and preferred shipping address) is a post office box, we must ship your order via USPS, as FedEx and UPS do not deliver to PO Boxes. Standard shipping for PO Boxes is USPS Priority Mail service, which delivers usually within 2-3 days. If you need expedited shipping, please contact us for USPS Express Mail options.
All shipments are shipped fully-insured at no additional cost to you.
We only charge sales tax as required by law in the state of Tennessee. Orders placed in Tennessee are subject to 9.25% sales tax. All other states are not charged sales tax.
In addition to domestic US and Canadian shipments, we also ship worldwide to dozens of countries. International shipping rates vary by country. For country-specific rates, click the "Estimate Shipping Costs" button after adding items to your cart. ALL INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS require a verifyable phone number in order to be processed.
Due to the nature of the products we sell, items can often be used for an specific purpose, and no longer needed or wanted. As such, in order to return an item, we have imposed the following return policy:
Unused, unopened items in resellable condition can be returned within 7 days of receipt of item ("receipt" date based on delivery confirmation information via FedEx or UPS delivery confirmation) for a full refund of purchase price. Between 7 and 14 days, unused and unopened items in resellable condition may be returned to us, but will be imposed a 25% restocking fee. After 14 days, all sales are final. By this time we assume that you have received some benefit from the item, and it is yours to keep.
All opened, non-defective returns are subject to up to a 20% restocking fee.
Items that have been opened and show signs of use, wear, or benefit received are not eligible for return.
Items that have been damaged (through intentional or unintentional means) or modified in any way are not eligible for return.
All shipping fees are non-refundable. If you return an item that was shipped with Free Shipping, the actual shipping cost will be deducted from your return total. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the buyer, unless the item has been deemed defective, as per Defective Item Policy below.
Certain items are non-returnable under any circumstances, unless defective (see Defective Item policy below). These non-returnable products include:
- Body-worn products (Hats, Watches, Ties, etc)
- Activated GPS devices
- Camera and bug detection devices
- Software-based products
Defective Item Policy
We put our products through rigorous testing procedures to ensure that we carry only the highest-quality items. In some rare cases, products may be defective or "DOA" (dead on arrival). If a product you receive is defective upon arrival, Buyer must inform us within 7 days so that we may arrange a return shipment.
All products offered for sale by Clearlight Security are backed by a 90-Day Limited Warranty, unless otherwise speficially noted on product page. This warranty starts from the day that you receive the product, as determined by the FedEx, UPS, or USPS tracking information. In the event a product fails to work as intended as a result of manufacturer defect, Buyer can return the product to Clearlight Security within 90 days for repair or replacement. After 90 days, manufacturer's warranty terms and conditions apply. Once item has been returned to Clearlight Security, we will inspect it. If product has been determined to be the subject of modification, misuse, neglect, faulty installation, or improper usage, the limited warranty will be void, and product returned to customer, at customer's expenese.
If the product has failed to work as intended as a result of manufacturer's defect, we will repair or replace the item at our expense. Warranty service may require sending the product back to original manufacturer for repair, and may take up to 30 days. An advance replacement item may be available, at an additional cost.
Site Content and Information
Site design, text, graphics, images, code, and all information contained herewithin is copywrited or licensed for use by Clearlight Security and/or parent company Clearlight Electronics. Nothing on this site (and related sites such as YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook), including (but not limited to) product descriptions, product images, videos, HTML code, or flash animation may be copied, reproduced, or diseminated in any manner, online or offline, without the express written permission of Clearlight Security.
We take extreme measures to protect our site content, including automated and manual detection methods, including digital watermarks and advanced copyright detection methods.
All product information including descriptions and specifications are based on information provided by the products' respective manufacturers, and while we make every effort and opportunity to verify and confirm this information, there may be cases where inaccuracies still exist. As product information and specificatios are frequently subject to change, we cannot be held responsible for these inaccuracies.
Claims and Disputes
We strive to meet and exceed all of our customers' expectations. We work to resolve any disputes as they arise, and work with our customers to reach a mutually agreeable resolution to any problems that may occur. In the event an amicable solution cannot be reached, and Buyer wishes to pursue a claim, suit, or action against Clearlight Security, Buyer agrees to file suit in the city of Gallatin, in Sumner County, TN.
